IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT WE TELL YOU OF THE PASSING
OF
WALDO "WALLY" HUNT
THE MAN WE ACKNOWLEDGE AS THE FORCE BEHIND THE SECOND
GOLDEN AGE OF POP-UPS.
Waldo H. Hunt
November 28, 1920 - November 6, 2009
The "King of Pop-Up Books" passed away with his family by his side
in Springville, California where he and his loving wife Patricia have lived
for the past seven years. Waldo was successful in the advertising industry
thru the fifties and then became the leading force in the resurrection of the
Pop-Up and Movable book industry. He was truly the King of Pops for the rest
of his life. He will be missed by all and his memory will live on forever.
Waldo is survived by his wife Patricia daughters, Kimberly, Jamie, Marsha and
grandchildren Katie, William, Jesse.
